Eyad Qasim Raheem

My journey in technology began with a deep curiosity about how things work. As a child, I was fascinated by computers and the endless possibilities they offered. This curiosity led me to pursue Information Engineering at Al-Nahrain University, where I discovered my passion for artificial intelligence and machine learning.

During my university years, I achieved the highest ranking on the Kattis programming platform at Al-Nahrain, demonstrating my strong algorithmic problem-solving skills. This competitive programming experience sharpened my ability to think critically and write efficient code under pressure.

My breakthrough came when I won first place in the "Sustainable IoT" hackathon at the CORTISSS program, a collaboration between Al-Nahrain University and Offenburg University. Our Smart Mirror project caught the attention of an international jury, including Prof. Dr. Axel Sikora, earning me a DAAD Grant to study IoT development in Germany.

Today, I work as an AI/ML Engineer at Al Habbar Company, where I develop and deploy YOLO object detection models, implement LLaMA language models, and manage end-to-end ML pipelines. I've also founded EDURU Tech Club, where I organize training sessions on web development and AI, building a community of aspiring tech professionals.
